Day 2: Guidance

Shhh. Listen. What do you hear? Do you hear the sounds of home appliances, air conditioning, kids playing/crying, silence? Do you hear the Holy Spirit giving you guidance, nudging you in the right direction?

21) Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

23) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and he delights in His way.

Isaiah 30:21 NKJV; Psalm 37:23 NKJV

As a Christian, there’s no reason that you have to wonder where your life is supposed to be headed–God gives you guidance with the Word and a helper in the Holy Spirit, and if there’s something He hasn’t told you yet, it’s likely that you don’t need that bit of information yet.

Remember from yesterday that as you begin to consecrate yourself, you’ll also begin to walk more in step with the Holy Spirit. One of the amazing things about dedicating your year and yourself to God, and drawing closer to Him, is that you will also begin to hear His voice more clearly and consistently. The Holy Spirit will begin to guide your footsteps, and you’ll begin to live a more blessed life as you begin to align with God’s will and plan for your life.

Prayer for the Day:

Father, You have a perfect plan for my life. I ask You to give me knowledge of the path that You want me to walk that I will not miss Your will. I thank You God, that You know where I am. You planned my life before I ever showed up; I ask for Your perfect will now. Show me Your way and direct my life, giving me guidance beyond my mind into Your perfect will. I ask You for it, I receive it and I believe it. I worship You, Father. I thank You that You are going to guide me, lead me, walk beside me. I will be led by Your peace. I will delight in Your way, O God. In Jesus Name, amen.
